VIDEO: New Scarborough RUFC man Chapman can’t wait for Brid derby tester

Scarborough RUFC welcomed the latest addition to their playing staff at the weekend when Eamon Chapman made an impressive debut against York at Silver Royd

Unlike Jesse Macdonald, the Kiwi who arrived in Scarborough from Australia two weeks ago, Eamon is an Aussie who arrived from New Zealand.

Hailing from Queensland, the big back-rower arrived from Wellington where he played his rugby for the Wellington Axemen and although he played at No8 on Saturday in the absence of Matty Else who was at his brother’s wedding, he will hope to play in his favourite openside-flanker position this season.

He will hope his second outing will prove more successful than last Saturday’s injury-time defeat as he travels for his first game on the road at an unforgiving Dukes Park, Bridlington.
