Scarborough RUFC game abandoned due to injured ref

Scarborough were left frustrated after Saturday's Yorkshire One game against North Ribblesdale was abandoned early in the second half with the hosts leading 14-0.

Scarborough started quickly with two tries in the opening 10 minutes, Mikey Readman went over from close range followed by Tom Ratcliffe after a break by Graham Hogg, who converted both, the latter a superb kick from the touchline.

There was no further scoring and right at the start of the second half the referee, Mr Weston, pulled up having chased a Jordi Wakeham break.

He was unable to continue and with no suitably qualified referee present the game had to be abandoned
