It was Marshall’s county debut and he played 60 minutes of Yorkshire’s win.

Marshall hasn’t been selected in the Tykes squad to face Lancashire this Sunday, but is eyeing a spot in the side for the Durham clash on November 16.

He said: “It was a good game to be involved in and it was great to get a win as our first game as a team.

“The game was played a very fast pace and I enjoyed it.”

Marshall is enjoying making the transition to senior rugby. He added: “It’s going well at the moment. There’s a massive difference between senior rugby and junior rugby, the game is a lot more physical and tactical.

“Everyone is stronger and fitter and you’ve got to make sure you know what you’re doing.”
