Tinker impresses Great Dane Kessler in Copenhagen

Former Scarborough ABC and Westway ABC boxer Matthew Tinker continued his impressive amateur record with wins in Bristol and Copenhagen this week.

Tinker boxed on March 20 in Bristol against Nathan Nicholas from Planetside ABC, who was the 2015 Welsh ABA runner-up and is trained by Gavin Rees.

Tinker impressed throughout the bout and won by a unanimous points decision.

He then made the trip to Copenhagen in Denmark, on March 27, to captain the London boxing team.

Tinker boxed live on Danish television, where former super-middleweight world champion Mikkel Kessler was commentating, and he again won by unanimous decision.

The two wins update Tinker’s amateur record to 50 wins and 18 losses from his 68 fights.
