James Leach will look to make an impact for the Scarborough Vikings at BP Chemicals this weekend

The Vikings are currently top of the table, but they'll need to be at their best against a physical BP Chemicals side, according to their captain Simon Dixon.

Dixon said: ‘We have a huge game away at BP Chemicals this weekend.

"We are currently third in the Merit League table and with just four league games remaining we need a big win to consolidate our position in the play-off places.

"We've got a strong squad this weekend although we are missing inside centre and team manager Chris Mabbott, who has been in phenomenal form for us this season so he is a big big loss.

"In come big Les Langkilde, James Leach and Ian Williams into the forwards though, who will add extra weight against a big BP pack.

"BP historically are a very forward orientated team so we expect a big battle up front.

"If our pack is firing on all cylinders then I expect them to secure our backs some quick ball."
