A CHRISTMAS exhibition, featuring the work of York-based artist Malcolm Ludvigsen, will begin this weekend at the South Street Gallery in Scarborough's South Cliff.
The exhibition, which features many new artists, begins on Saturday and runs until Saturday, January 16.
A gallery spokesman said: “Malcolm is an oil-painter with a particular interest in plein-air painting.
“He can often be seen painting outdoors on Scarborough’s Esplanade, or directly on the beach of the North and South bays.
“When he is not painting, he is a professor of mathematics with an international reputation for work in relativity, black holes, and cosmology.
“He isauthor of a well-known book on general relativity.”
The show promises an eclectic mix of paintings, printmaking, ceramics, glass, steel sculpture, knitted jewellery and felt handcrafted items.
The gallery is open Thursday to Saturday between noon and 5pm and on Sundays between noon and 4pm.
