Annual Christmas Cracker set to open at Scarborough YMCA Theatre

Entertainers new and old at the YMCA Theatre come together to present Christmas Cracker – a festive variety show for all the family.

The annual show from YMCA Productions bursts on to the YMCA Theatre stage from Friday November 29 to Sunday December 1

Filled with music, song, dance and comedy, this show promises to make you smile, cry and belly laugh from start to finish.

Joining the YMCA Productions Cast, which includes members of all ages, will be special guests such as Rowlies Academy of Dance, Yorkshire Coast School of Ballet and the YMCA Band.

There will also be appearance from local singers including Jamie and Roger Maughan, James Aconley, Chloe Wright and Charlie Simon-Shaw accompanied by dancer Bex Wainwright.

Director Katie Doubtfire said: “Christmas Cracker is all about bringing festive cheer to audiences. It is a showcase of Scarborough talent and allows us to spread some festive joy while providing the audience with heart-warming moments and all out belly laughs all in one Christmassy, sparkly show.

“The ‘Big Man’ himself may even make an extra special guest appearance.”

Christmas Cracker really does have something for everyone, a fun-filled festive extravaganza.

The show is the start of Christmas at the YMCA and the cast and crew are excited to share the Christmas spirit with their community.

The production has been produced by Graham Ibbotson, and created by Hayley Green, director, Katie Doubtfire, director, choreographer and comedy coach), Juliette Scarborough, singing coach and Evie McGlinchey, assistant singing coach.

Performances are on Friday November 29 and Saturday November 30 at 7.30pm with a matinee performance at 2pm on Sunday December 1.

Tickets are £10 for adults, £9 concessions and £32 for a family.
