Cinderella at the YMCA: times and dates

There is '˜big screen' action in the YMCA pantomime Cinderella at the St Thomas Street theatre this year.

The YMCA Theatre has teamed up with Scarborough store Boyes and the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts to create and shoot a short film which will be screened as part of the show.

The comedy video sees Cinderella, Buttons, Prince Charming and the Ugly Sisters running through the streets of Scarborough and visiting Boyes in Queen Street.

“We always like to show real links to the community in our pantomime at the YMCA,” said director James Aconley.

    “It’s one of the great things about pantomime – it really does celebrate the local area and all that is fantastic about the surroundings.

    “We have been supported and sponsored by Boyes for many years and it was an obvious chpoice of location for this year’s comedy chase.”

    The script has been written by previous YMCA member Claire Edwards.

    Cinderella runs at the theatre from Boxing Day to January 2.

    Times: Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and Jan 2 at 2pm

    Dec 27, 28, 29, 30 at 7.30pm.
