Seventh Steampunk spectacular on way to Whitby

A packed programme of events is in store at the seventh Whitby Steampunk Weekend.

The event is held at Whitby Pavilion this weekend (Friday February 7 to Sunday February 9) and sees Ed Tudor-Pole as one of the main attractions, along with Alice’s Night Circus and Biscuithead and The Biscuit Badgers.

A number of activities, presentations and demonstrations have been lined up each day as well as the Steampunk Retail Emporium.

Friday evening features a Fabulous February Fashion Show while on Saturday night, there’s a Steampunk Cabaret Evening.

The weekend is considered to be the second largest steampunk event in the UK.

A spokesman said: “Whitby Steampunk Weekend is a rather splendid affair indeed, with a cornucopia of delightful indulgences and fanciful extravagances for all your sumptuous decadent desires, dreams and pleasures.”
