TONY Hadley has confirmed he will be playing at Scarborough’s ’80s Rewind show.

The Spandau Ballet star was reportedly cut from the line-up last week following a change to the date of the show.

However organisers say he has now confirmed the date, and will once again headline the event at Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre on Friday September 2.

Tony Hadley will join other big names from the decade including ABC, Go West, Dr and the Medics plus many more.

Sam Shrouder, Scarborough Open Air Theatre spokesperson, said: “Tony Hadley has proved to be a huge hit with music fans hoping to attend ’80s Rewind 2011.

“We have been inundated with requests from the public who wish to see the legendary performer take to the stage.

“After a little time and meticulous effort, we have pulled out all the stops and are thrilled to confirm he will now be performing for a night of pure ’80s fever.”
