Join Miss Scarborough and District Laura Stone for a vintage picnic on the balcony of Scarborough Art Gallery, in Crescent Gardens on Saturday from noon until 4pm.
She is the guest of honour at the event to celebrate the opening of Last Stop Scarborough exhibition.
Local harpist Jessica Wright will be playing for visitors and children will have a chance to create their own sash to take home. Visitors are encourage to ear vintage clothing.
Last Stop Scarborough features railway and corporation posters and tourism-related items belonging to Scarborough Collections. The exhibition explores Scarborough’s place in history as the first seaside resort and covers popular themes such as the coming of the railways, the beneficial qualities of sea bathing and the saucy seaside postcard.
