Bands join in fundraiser

A full day of music, dancing, activities, will be held at the Duchess in aid of Scarborough Disablement Action Group.

Duchfest features a host of local bands – The Shamrockers, BlueAllibi, Le Petit Mort, Spearmint Rock, Stairwell 17 and also Robyn Keech, Ben Parcell, Phil Booth, Karl Keegan, Terri–Ann-Prendegast, Callum Marshall, Cloud Over City, Ollie Green, Attic Nosie, Jessie Hutchinson plus there will be Zumba by Wayne.

The event is at the Duchess pub, Hovingham Drive, Scarborough, on Saturday June 16 from 11am to 11pm.

Children’s activities, a bouncy castle and a barbecue will also be party of the day-long fundraiser.

Entry is free – and those attending will be asked to buy raffle tickets or make a small donation in the collection tins to support the action group.

The organisation supports local people with disabilities adjust to life in the community. Government funding is being withdrawn and any donations will be used to help the volunteer staff carry on helping the disabled community.
