Enjoy night at the opera

Scarborough Spa Orchestra continues its regular pattern of nine different concerts each week – including tonight’s gala performance.

For A Night At The Opera, it will be at joined by guest singers Ros Evans and Paul Badley.

Ros is well known to Scarborough audiences and has appeared with the Welsh National Opera.

Paul has sung with Ute Lemper and recorded toured the Middle East with rock outfit Gregorian.

Together they will sing the show-stopping opera arias including, of course, Nessun Dorma.

The Spa Orchestra joins with the Royal British Legion to herald Armed Forces Weekend on Thursday June 21.

The special festival gala will include wartime songs, the Military Wives’ hit Wherever You Are, and Act of Remembrance and a Poppy Drop.

Both concerts start at 7.45pm.

The orchestra also performs each Sunday to Thursday at 11am and Sunday, Tuesday to Thursday at 7.30pm. This year the orchestra is celebrating 1oo years of music making.
