Rising star guitarist Ant Law is the guest of Scarborough Jazz at The Cask on Wednesday March 27.

Ant studied at Edinburgh University and The Berklee College of Music in the USA. He moved to London in 2008, quickly picking up high profile session work with a variety of mainstream musicians such as Mica Paris, members of Incognito and Level 42.

Ant has toured with his own quartet and released their debut CD, Entanglement.

A pioneer of the ‘perfect fourths’ tuning system, he has written the book ‘ 3rd Millenium Guitar.

Ant makes regular trips to New York in order to study with some of his heroes - Ben Monder, Lage Lund, Tim Miller and Ari Hoenig.

He plays with assurance, technical ability and melodic and rhythmic flair.

This is his first appearance for Scarborough Jazz and he will be backed by The Mike Gordon Trio.

The gig starts at 8.45pm and admission is just £3.
