Four tenors promise audience favourites

Scarborough-based the Four Tenors return to South Cliff Methodist Church on Monday for the penultimate concert of the season.

It’s invariably a special night for the audience with the likes of Cyril Clark, Jim Gilhooly, Maurice Macer and Malcolm Peart entertaining and there’s an extra bonus with the appearance of guest soprano Marie Rutherford from Foxholes.

Cyril Clark reveals: “Rehearsals have been going well with our accompanist Les Banks and we are looking forward to performing again at this lovely venue.

“We have an extremely varied programme lined up including some favourites from the shows that people love to hear as well as something different.

“Each of the singers will perform solos as well as joining together for group items and there will be a couple of religious pieces at the end which we hope members of the audience will join in.”

The last concert on Monday September 10 will feature Village Voices– –an all-women group of singes.

The shows start at 7.45pm with an interval at half-time.
