ORGANISERS of the Scarborough Festival of Brass say they hope the event will come to the town in 2012 after this year’s was cancelled due to low ticket sales.
The festival was due to take place on Saturday at the Open Air Theatre but has since been replaced by the revived Beached music festival, which will be headlined by The Hoosiers and Belle Amie.
A statement from the Apollo team said: “After some careful consideration, it has been decided to postpone the Festival of Brass event due to low ticket sales. The event is one that we do hope to incorporate back into the events schedule, but more likely now for 2012.
“Apologies again for any inconvenience caused and we hope to bring you the Festival of Brass on a bigger and better scale next year.”
