Scarborough’s Acoustic Gathering returns for the eighth
year and will, for the first time, take place over two full days.
The festival team endeavours to showcase 16 hours of talent, including many familiar faces on the local scene, and the usual exciting guests from around the country.
Last year the event had increased security and charged a nominal fee, improvements were made in the way of safety and feedback from the festival goers was positive with most commenting on the relaxed vibe throughout the weekend.
The bar, run by the Great Yorkshire Brewery, was popular and will return.
Negotiations are being finalised with the headliners.
“Aannouncement will be made in the next couple of weeks. The team promise to deliver a weekend of top drawer entertainment, with the usual twists thrown in to keep it exciting,” said Acoustic Gathering co-organiser Steve Dickinson.
“We are working flat out to bring you an awesome weekend. We have come to realise that Acoustic Gathering is literally a tradition now, the amount of inquiries we have had fis quite staggering,” he said.
The Gathering is in Peasholm and runs from Saturday September 7 to Sunday September 8. Tickets will be £8 per day. Early bird weekend tickets will go on sale at a special price at the Gathering stage at Seafest on the West Pier on Saturday Juoly 20.
