Bands line up to play at The Yard

The Yard, Malton, launches a free Easter music festival, called Acoustic April featuring North Yorkshire bands and solo artists.

The event starts on Good Friday, April 3, and will continue every weekend throughout the month.

The schedule consists of of 10 local live bands and singers including folk-style musician Rachel Croft, Cayton singer-songwriter Terri-Ann and York-based Alex Anthony;

General manager Liv Smales said: “We really love to support local talent. It has been amazing to see how much diversity is out there.

Five of the acts featured come from Malton including the Yard’s barman Will Best who kicks off the festival on Good Friday. Will has been performing for 10 years and said: “I’m looking forward to once again coming out from behind the bar and playing.”
