Swinging bass player and singer Nicola Farnon brings her excellent trio to The Cask in Scarborough on
Wednesday July 3.

Nicola has an outgoing personality that makes her a remarkable stage performer.

Both her parents are professional musicians and Nicola gained grade eight on piano and cello by the age of eleven.

Later, she studied music in London before moving north. Now based in Sheffield, she has wowed audiences at jazz clubs and festivals nationwide.

With her is Piero Tucci, an accomplished pianist who also doubles on saxophone.

The drummer is the in-demand Phil Johnson who has backed many of the UK’s finest jazz musicians.

Nicola sings her favourite jazz and Latin standards plus some of her inspired originals.

Humphrey Lyttelton said of Nicola: “ She is a class act who should be on every jazz festival in the land – a sure fire hit.”

Their last appearance for Scarborough Jazz was a triumph, as they played with high energy, irresistible swing and passion.

Admission is £7 and the music starts at 8.45pm.
