The organisers of Scarborough Jazz Festival are putting the finishing touches to what is set to be the biggest and best festival yet.
The line up sees the return of Courtney Pine and Kyle Eastwood over the weekend of Friday September 27 and Sunday September. 29.
Courtney returns to the festival after a successful year having won Jazzwise writers Albumof year for his new CD House of Legends.
Courtney will take to the Spa stage on the Saturday .
Los Angeles-born Kyle Eastwood, 45, son of film star Clint is the other top headliner on the bill.
Kyle played the festival in 2009 and plays acoustic, electric and double bass. He is on Sunday. Leading his own quartet, he released his first solo album From There to Here in 1998. His most recent album, The View From Here, was released in March.
Helen Broadbent, general manager of Scarborough Spa, said: “To have huge names in the world of music performing at Scarborough Spa is a real coup.
“Kyle may have a celebrity dad but he’s very much made a name for himself as one of the world’s top jazz musicians. We are extremely proud to be welcoming Kyle and all the performers to Scarborough for this fantastic event.”
The festival also features some of the top names in Jazz including vocalists Ian Shaw and Anita Wardell, festival favourite Alan Barnes along with raising stars Laura Jurd and Krzysztof Urbanski Band.
