Scarborough Jazz holds its Christmas party with an emphasis on open mic session at The Cask on Wednesday December 17.

Anyone is welcome to play or sing with the resident Mike Gordon Trio.

Already several people are down to appear: Tom Mellor’s jazz guitar stylings will be heard and Stan Lovell will treat us to some boogie woogie piano.

Dave Clark will sing and the five-piece Sarah’s Kitchen Band have booked a spot.

Twelve-year-old Bethany Gordon, Mike’s granddaughter, will make her Cask debut on the piano. #

Also new to The Cask is Georgie Samuels who sings with Manhattan Voices and has played roles in several theatre productions.

Georgie will demonstrate her vocal skills which were used to great effect in a production of Calamity Jane when she played Adelaide Adams for UK Foundation for Dance and Scarborough Musicals at the YMCA last .

Guitarist Alex O’Neil will also play.

From the cast of Aladdin at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, we can enjoy musical director Mark Gordon’s Quartet.

Other performers will appear during the evening. As well as all the music, there is a to be a bumper raffle, and food is also provided.

The music begins at 8.45pm and admission is a £4.

Ring Mike Grodon on Scarborough (01723) 379818 if you fancy performing.
