Staxtonbury music festival is gearing up for its sixth year and promises to be more colourful and exciting than ever before.
It runs from Friday July 4 to Sunday July 6 and the organisers are keeping with the ethos of supporting Yorkshires bands and artists and are new ideas.
An American night herald Independence Day in the marquee on Friday and a Sixties-Seventies night on Saturday.
American genre bands will perform on the Friday while Saturdays line-up includes Beatles and Abba tributes.
The Cover Ups, Bogus Beatles, Deathmatch and New Strings are in the line-up plus acoustic sets also featuring Ash Gray (USA) Ryan Spendlove and Armonia plus Linda Simpson and Jo Bywater.
On Sunday July 6 young bands and artists are given a chance.
There will be the ever popular Magic Mike shows and Kathy Seabrooks musical story times, pirate shows as well as tennis and football coaching. Bouncy castles, slides, carousels, water balls archery exhibitions and crafts.
Advance tickets are the only means of entry for Friday and Saturday. Sunday tickets available at the gate. The festival is at Manor Farm, off the A64 at Staxton.
