Local singer Sean Slinger returns to town this weekend to headline the North Bay stage on the first day of the UK Pro Surf weekend.
Alt-metal band Propax made their debut appearance in Scarborough this summer and lead singer Sean says they’re now looking forward to Saturday’s 3.30pm performance on the promenade in North Bay.
He said:“The band and myself are uber excited to come back to Scarborough and also to be part of a sporting event that we all love doing outside of the band.
“I think its amazing that Scarborough is able to have such great events again to not just showcase our amazing location, but also our local surfing talent.
“I hope that from the day of surfing, BMX, skate, arts and live music that we can get a new generation to get into it as well.
“We are really excited to close the first day of the live outdoor stage’.’
The surf festival action starts at 10.30am on Saturday and finishes at 5pm on Sunday.
Other local acts are also set to play in the promenade and at local venues over the weekend.
