James Blunt spread his infectious energy throughout Dalby Forest, with a mixture of wit and innuendo and managed to get everybody singing along and joining in with his fun.
The Scarborough leg of his Moon Landing world tour included his singles Bonfire Heart, You’re Beautiful and Postcards as well as many other favourites, which he performed with his band whilst parading in jumpsuits.
He seamlessly moved from guitar to guitar, ukulele to piano, as he showed off his amazing talents.
His ability to work and interact with the audience was shown when James launched into the crowd and surfed his way across the sea of welcoming hands, moreover, his impressive live performance was both enjoyable and entertaining.
One young Scarborough fan, 17-year-old Sixth Form student Chloe Bedford, said: “It was such a great night, the atmosphere was amazing and I loved it.”
Supporting act Gavin James flew in from Dublin and set the mood with his acoustic ballads, from what was seen I think he may be one to watch out for in the future.
You either love him or hate him, but from his performance its evident to see North Yorkshire most indefinitely loves a bit of James Blunt.
