Scarborough Symphony Orchestra’s final concert of this season, featuring international cellist Richard Harwood, is one not to be missed.
He is joining the orchestra to perform Saint Saens First at the concert at Queen Street Methodist Central Hall on Saturday July 20 at 7.30pm.
“The orchestra has had a superb season.” said Shaun Matthew, its conductor, “It’s thanks to the players’ dedication and sheer hard work and the enthusiastic support we are getting from an ever-increasing audience, that we are able to attract such an amazing soloist to play with us, and give the people of Scarborough the opportunity to hear such musical talent on their doorstep.”
Richard says he is particularly looking forward to performing the Saint Saens again as it’s such an exciting concerto which really captures his imagination.
The programme also includes Brahms Symphony no 4 and Elgar’s Froissart Overture, it will make a memorable climax to the season.
