The 13th Scarborough Jazz Festival starts on Friday September 23 and promises three days of diverse sounds.
Mike Gordon, the director for Scarborough Jazz Festival said “After the incredible complimentary evaluations we received for the 2015 festival I knew it was going to be a tough challenge to do better this year. But I think we might have done it with an impressive, balanced, entertaining line-up.”
One of the stars is singer Liane Carroll. She appeared solo at the 2009 festival. “She was tremendous,” said Mike. “So I rang her and asked if she would do a solo spot again. ‘Love to darling’ was the quick answer.”
