Scarborough Jazz at the Cask presents a treat for lovers of the Great American 
Songbook on Wednesday November 12.

Vocalist Rich Adams will sing some of his favourites from the repertoires of the great singers like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra.

Rich has long been half of the local duo Stony,he sings with a function band and has appeared at the Stephen Joseph Theatre with the Rich Adams/Dave Greave duo.

He has twice sung in the Grand Hall of the Spa, once with the Northern Showtime Orchestra and with the Spa Orchestra as part of their 100th anniversary celebrations. He is also a regular performer at the Watermark Café in North Bay.

Rich has a contract with Mercurial Records to issue an EP of his own songs. He hopes that this will be followed by a record of swing numbers.

For this gig at The Cask, he will be joined by saxophonist Dave Kemp. Dave was earning money at 17 at a holiday camp and went on to work on cruise ships.

They will be backed by the Mike Gordon Trio, admission is £5 and it starts at 8.45pm.
