West End musical hit Save the Last Dance is coming to the Futurist on Scarborough seafront for a week-long run later this year.

The show is written by Maurice Gran and Laurence Marks – the team behind Dreamboats and Petticoats which was a hit at the venue last year.

It features chart-topping tunes including A Teenager in Love, Sweets for my Sweet; Turn Me Loose, Here I Go Again; Viva Las Vegas, Little Sister, His Latest Flame, Suspicion, Can’t Get Used to Losing You and Save the Last Dance For Me.

They are wrapped into the story of siblings who embark on a holiday to the seaside. Full of freedom and high spirits they meet a handsome young American who invites them to a dance at the local US Air force base. But young love and holiday romance is never as simple as it sounds.

The show will run at the Futurist from Monday September 23 to Saturday September 28, daily at 7.30pm with matinees on Wednesay and Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tickets are now on sale on (01723) 365789.
