Scarborough-based company Qdos Entertainment has raised £431,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital since it started fundraising for the charity 30 months ago.
Qdos Entertainment, alongside its sister company HQ Theatres & Hospitality which manages 10 venues across the UK, has been fundraising for the Hospital’s Theatres for Theatres Appeal. The appeal was set up to raise money to build four state-of-the-art operating theatres at the London hospital.
Nick Thomas, Chairman of Qdos Entertainment, said: “We are delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount for the hospital that treats very sick children from across the UK. I have been fortunate to have seen for myself some of the new operating theatres which we have helped to fund and they really are superb facilities, matched by the world-class skill and dedication of the Great Ormond Street Hospital staff.
“On behalf of everyone at Qdos Entertainment I would like to thank the pantomime-going public for their donations which have helped drive our fundraising campaign as well as my colleagues in all of our Theatres who have contributed through a range of terrific fund-raising initiatives.
“We will continue our support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and look forward to exceeding the half million pound mark by Christmas.” Nick said.
