Scarborough-based Phoenix Drama Group presents a comedy murder mystery at the YMCA next week.
The play is called Busybody by Jack Popplewell, The office cleaner of a London office (the Busybody) turns amateur sleuth on finding a dead body.
It has a strong cast of Phoenix regulars - Ian Cocker as the Superintendent with Joe Gardham as the constable, Robin Newman the company director with Margaret Braidford as his wife and Pauline Newman as his personal secretary and Jan Brittain as the ‘Busybody.
New members Darren Foster and Natasha Halkyard play office employees.
“It has been great fun rehearsing this play and I’m sure the audience will be well entertained,” said Jan Brittain.
Busybody will be at the YMCA Theatre in St Thomas Street, Scarborough, from Wednesday June 10 to Saturday June 13, daily at 7.30pm.
