Whitby's April Tomorrow's Ghost Festival on hold - but hope for November event with tickets transferred
April’s Tomorrow’s Ghosts Festival at Whitby Pavilion has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The festival’s music line up which included headliners The Damned and Pink Turns Blue has been transferred to the next festival which will takes place over Halloween Weekend, October 30 to November 1.
Organisers, Absinthe Promotions said:
"Following the developments in recent days, the current situation has left us with no option but to make this decision.
"Understandably, we have received many queries as to whether April was going ahead but we couldn't give you a definitive answer until now.
"We understand that this affects many people who have made travel and accommodation arrangements and we hope that this now brings some clarity to the situation.
"As the April event was close to selling-out we can assure all ticket buyers that these tickets will be valid for the rescheduled October-November festival.
"For those that unable to make this date, refunds will be available through your ticket agent in the coming days.
"This is for the best and a decision we feel much happier with putting this on hold.
"We feel really bad that everyone is dealing with uncertainty and ear but we are sure it will eventually get better and while we are all disappointed that April cannot go ahead, we hope that October is something to look forward to.
"Please stay well and be patient with us in getting around to answering people's questions.
"We want to thank everyone for their continued support through this difficult time.
As well as October’s Festival, Tomorrow’s Ghosts will also take place over the weekends of 23rd to 25th April 2021.
