SCARBOROUGH television viewers still not tuned into the big digital switchover have one last chance to learn about the process.

The Digital UK roadshow stops off in Westborough tomorrow and Wednesday from 9am to offer help for those who haven’t yet switched to digital television.

The first stage of the switchover changes will take place on Wednesday where people without the necessary equipment will lose BBC2.

All terrestrial television services will be off air during the night and restored on the main transmitter around 6am the next day .

The switchover’s next phase will take place on Wednesday, August 17, when all remaining analogue channels will be permanently switched off and replaced with digital services.

John Askew, Digital UK’s regional manager in Yorkshire, said: “Most viewers are ready for switchover, but some viewers may need a bit of extra help so we are working to offer support for those who need it.”
