SCARBOROUGH West End star Ben Ellis will be back on TV screens this weekend as one of the presenters of a new motoring show.

The six-part series, Ultimate Car Tuning, begins this Sunday at 9pm on Sky channel 166 and Freesat 402.

The 22-year-old is seen touring various race circuits including Silverstone and Rockingham during the show, which promises to bring an inside look at the world of car modification.

Ben, who starred in productions at the YMCA in Scarborough, received his big break with a stint in BBC reality show Any Dream Will Do, a search for a star for Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor

Dreamcoat, in which he finished fourth.

He appeared as the prince in Snow White at the Hawth Theatre, Crawley, alongside Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood.

Before that he was Peter Pan with Paul Nicholas in Hull,

Ben recently reprised his role as Norman in Dreamboats and Petticoats in the West End and played Link Larkin in Hairspray with Michael Ball.

He also did his first straight play, Hostage, last year.
