Myths, Legends and Fairytales is the first big show of the season from Twilight Productions at the YMCA, St Thomas Street, Scarborough.

The show features all of the various classes from Twilight and it promises to take the audience on a journey through fantasy and folklore via music and mirth.

The co-founders of Twilight and directors of the show, Kerry and David Nicholson and Jodi Hatton said there’s something for everyone of any age in the show.

The dance teams will recreate such mythical creatures as Medusa, ghosts and fairies.

The choir and singing groups will perform medleys and mash-ups with an angels and devils and witches and wizards theme.

“There will be solos from legends of music past and present. The adult singing group – The Local Vocals – will be singing the Queen song It’s a Kind of Magic while an illusion is performed o stage.

The School of Comedy will be exploring two meanings to the word legend, as they present sketches based on the tales of such characters as Robin Hood, and performing classic routines from the likes of the Two Ronnies, Rowan Atkinson, and Victoria Wood.

Stunning costumes and lighting add to the mythical, magical feel of the show.

It is at the YMCA on Friday February 22 and Saturday February 23, daily at 7.30pm.
