Chanticleer Singers perform Christmas Carol Concerts in Malton and Pickering

Malton-based mixed voice choir, the Chanticleer Singers, will present special Christmas Carol concerts in Malton and Pickering to celebrate the Christmas season.
On Friday 12 December at 7:30pm, they will perform a beautifully atmospheric candlelit carol concert at St Michael’s Church in Malton Market Place. Then on Saturday 13 December at 4pm, they will present their festive Christmas Carol Concert at St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church, Hall Garth in Pickering.
For many, the popular Chanticleer Singers carol concerts mark the beginning of the Christmas season. This year’s programme features traditional carols and Christmas music, including arrangements by modern composers such as Ola Gjeilo, Bob Chilcott, Ann Burgess, Andrew Carter and others. The concert will also include uplifting Christmas readings and audiences will have the chance to join the choir in singing well-loved carols.
The concerts will be directed by the choir’s Musical Director William Dore and accompanied by organist Geoffrey Coffin.

Drinks and mince pies will be available during the interval.
Tickets are £12 (children/students free) and are available from www.chanticleersingers.org.uk, Hoppers in Malton or through the Ticket Secretary by calling 01653-668320. They can also be purchased on the door.
