Now in its fifth year, the hugely popular festive event runs until Tuesday, December 23.
Visitors get to explore the grounds, take a journey through Candy Cane Lane, enjoy a giant bauble and walk along a spectacular light tunnel.
Ahead of the opening day, Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "Winter Woodland offers an exciting and wholesome experience for families and visitors alike.’’
