‘Love Music Hate Racism’ gig planned in Bridlington
The first ‘Love Music Hate Racism’ gig is coming to Bridlington on Friday, July 24.
The event is organised in conjunction with Stand up To Racism Hull and East Yorkshire and the Bridlington Green Party, with support from Yorkshire Coast Gigs and Some Dude Records.

The event will take place at the Drum Shack on Marlborough Terrace (next to the Hook and Parrot).
A spokesperson said: “Local organisers wanting to spread a message of love and solidarity in a world where racism is sadly becoming more and more normalised have put together a multi-genre night in celebration of diversity.
“Through the power of music, we will show a united community and say loud and clear we don’t tolerate racism here.
“The line-up hopes to include something for everybody, with comedian Chris Booker warming the crowd up to start, then music from local acts; Moss, Sproose Moose, HU/GS, Jenkem Revolt, finishing with DJs, Edward No Bacon and JDubz.
“The night will be held together by MC Dave Mahoney, who has experience of hosting Love Music Hate Racism gigs in Hull and there may even be a guest speaker or two.
“The night is going to be the start of something important for Bridlington, a coming together of community and spreading the hopeful message against hate that is so desperately needed in these divided times.”
Tickets are just £5 and available via Eventbrite. Go to tinyurl.com/22vkt37k to buy tickets for the gig.
