Shop at the SJT reveals Sleeping Beauty Christmas theme

Scarborough’s Shop at the SJT is celebrating Christmas throughout December during the festive season with a magical Sleeping Beauty theme.
This remarkable retail space is inspired by the Stephen Joseph Theatre’s Christmas 2025 production of Sleeping Beauty.
Carl Hitchens, chairperson of the collective, said: “Each year we get into the festive spirit and take inspiration from the theatre’s annual Christmas production.
“This year, our shop window, which overlooks Scarborough Railway Station, will include a special scene from the classic fairy tale.

“This year from November 29, any customer spending £20 has the option of entering our prize draw. The prize will be a gift hamper featuring items donated by our talented creators.
“We will draw a name at random on December 31 and we will contact the winner directly.
“Shop at the SJT features some of the local area’s most talented local people, showcasing their creations in this iconic, listed building.
“All our Makers are delighted to help make festive shopping easier and an enjoyable experience as Christmas approaches.”
Stephen Joseph’s production of Sleeping Beauty begins November 29 and finishes on December 31. Adapted and directed by Nick Lane, this year’s production is sponsored by local business Boyes.
