Florios posted on their social media: "Yesterday we had a brief talk with a member of the environmental health at Scarborough Council.

"She believes that all the safety measures we had in place allowed us to work in a safe environment for both members of staff and customers.

"We are going to reopen tomorrow after a deep clean.

"As an extra precaution, we are going to isolate the members of staff who have been in close contact with the customer that tested positive to Covid-19.

The restaurant said on Saturday that it was contacting all customers who were in the restaurant at the same time as the customer who tested positive on Sunday, September 13 between 7pm and 8.30pm.
