Scarborough's chocolate business Crofts expands with new production site in the town

Crofts Chocolates of Scarborough has expanded its business to a production site in the town.

The family-run business, which has a retail shop in Newborough, has announced that due to customer support and loyalty has acquired a production premises in St Johns Road, Falsgrave.

The recently acquired site, which was formerly a music shop, allows the mum and sun team Alex and Sheila Grant to increase their range of chocolates, ramp up their chocolate production and offer chocolate experiences in the form of workshops.

Alex said: “Our retail shop in Newborough will remain open as usual and we have staff waiting to welcome you.

“Our production site is something we’ve had on our radar for a while, and we’ve found the perfect location in St John’s Road.

“Our aim is to hold workshops and chocolate experiences in the future, too.

“We couldn’t do it without our fabulous customers, though. It is down to them that we’ve been able to expand Crofts Chocolates. We would like to thank everyone who’s supported us so far and helped make all this possible.”

Crofts Chocolates opened its Newborough store in 2013 and attends food festivals and other events.
