Scarborough's Crofts Chocolates reveal details of Mother's Day care home gift offer
Scarborough-based Crofts Chocolates is providing a gift to care home residents on Mother’s Day, Sunday March 14.
Crofts Chocolates will donate a limited-edition box of chocolates to a resident at Saint Cecilia’s Care Group every time a customer purchases a medium or large box of chocolates via Crofts website here.
Each limited-edition box will also come with a special, caring message to comfort the recipient during these difficult times.
Crofts Chocolates co-owner Alex Grant said: “We know it's been a tough year for everyone, but we think it's probably been even harder for those in care, that's why for Mother's Day, we've decided to give a free box of chocolates for every box we sell to someone in care at St Cecelia's. Each box will be given as an anonymous gift with a card reading 'Someone is thinking of you.”
Mike Padgham, managing director, of St Cecilia’s Care Group, said: “This is a very kind and generous offer from Alex at Crofts Chocolates and on behalf of all our mums across our homes, we say a huge ‘thank you’.
“It is a particularly kind gesture given that all high street shops are facing their own particular challenges at the moment.
“Mother’s Day is a special time for our ladies, but it can also be a lonely time too. This year won’t quite be the same as usual, but we will be going all out to ensure they all have a lovely day, and these chocolates will make it that little bit more special.”
Crofts Chocolates is based in Newborough, Scarborough and have supported key workers with similar schemes and donations since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The deadline for Mother’s Day boxed chocolate orders is Wednesday March 11.
The Crofts Chocolates team hope to run a similar scheme for Father’s Day in June.
