Cyclists get the chance to rack up the miles thanks to new facility on East Yorkshire bus services
Hull and East Yorkshire has become one of the first areas in the country to have bike-friendly buses.

This is after a £2m investment by one of the region’s leading public transport operators.
Bus company East Yorkshire has bought eight state of the art, environmentally friendly new double decker buses, costing £260,000 each, all of which have special racks to carry bikes on board.
The cycle-friendly buses have been rolled out onto the company’s flagship X46 & 45 routes between Hull, Beverley, Market Weighton, Pocklington and York, and between Bridlington, Driffield and York, with travellers able to bring their bike along for free.
As well as being good news for cyclists, the buses also have everything you need for an enjoyable journey, including wi-fi, USB and wireless chargers, tables, next stop announcements and luxury interiors. Passengers will also soon be able to stream media to their devices from an on-board entertainment system.
