Finalists announced for East Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards

We’re thrilled to reveal the finalists for this year’s East Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards - a celebration of the outstanding individuals, training providers, and businesses shaping the region’s thriving apprenticeship community.

This year’s awards feature 14 categories, recognising both the achievements of apprentices and the vital role played by employers and training providers in developing future talent - a true showcase of the region’s apprenticeship success stories.

This event would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, who continue to invest in and celebrate the achievements of apprentices across the region.

We’re proud to share a few of their thoughts below.

Ann Stanley, Early in Careers Manager, Yorkshire Water, said: “Yorkshire Water is an avid supporter of apprenticeships across our region and are delighted to sponsor all four events across Yorkshire and Humber.

"With 235 apprentice colleagues on programme, we understand and admire the commitment, motivation and achievement demonstrated by all of them and the nominees for these prestigious awards”.

Speaking about their support for the awards, Thomas Burton, Head of Apprenticeship Delivery. Employer Engagement and Commercial Partnerships, said: “York St John is delighted to sponsor the Large Employer Award this year.

"As workforce development rapidly evolves, strong regional partnerships between education and industry are more important than ever.

"By working collaboratively, we can ensure employers are supported, skills gaps are addressed, and our region continues to grow a resilient, future-ready workforce.”

We extend our sincere thanks to our judging panel: Tegan Hinch, Production Office Governance Analyst - Santander Katie Rankin, Emerging Talent and Careers Manager - Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Keira Robbins, People Development Manager - URM Group Ellie Jobes, Group People Director - Bagnalls Lisa Marriott, Early Career Development Manager - Drax

The campaign has once again attracted an incredible number of entries from across East Yorkshire.

Each submission was carefully assessed by our panel of judges against strict criteria to determine this year’s finalists and, ultimately, the winners.

The rigorous judging process reflects the exceptional calibre of applications received.

Their expertise and dedication have been invaluable in selecting a group of finalists that truly represent the passion, talent, and ambition driving apprenticeships across the region.

Winners will be announced at a live awards ceremony on Thursday, June 18 at MKM Stadium, Hull.

Guests will arrive from 6.45pm for a welcome drink, kindly sponsored by the Stadium, ahead of an evening of networking, dinner and award presentations.
