Fish and chip restaurant Inghams, in Filey, reopens after closing due to coronavirus

Inghams restaurant and take away, on Belle Vue Street, closed on Saturday after a member of staff was in contact with someone who had tested positive for the disease.
That staff member is self-isolating for 14 days.
Announcing it was reopening on Monday on social media, Inghams said it had undergone a deep clean and all staff were well, with no symptoms.

It said it had not been required to close but had done as a precaution.
It posted: “We take necessary precautions to keep everyone safe.
“You are required to sanitise upon entering the restaurant. All tables, chairs and condiments are sanitised after each customer has left.
“The toilet is one person or family bubble in at one time. No more than six people at a table.

Hide Ad“Staff wash hands frequently. The till and card reader are wiped down after each customer. There are screens at both till points.
“Safe social distancing is controlled outside the restaurant and take away. Toilets are cleaned regularly.
“I hope you feel we are doing everything to make you feel safe.”
