The tender saw Cirrus Research fight off competition from large companies in Japan, the USA and the EU to supply high-quality Class 1 sound level meters for the Bihar State Pollution Control Board in India.

Each device incorporates the new GPS module from Cirrus Research, which will help pinpoint the location of each measurement in Patna and other areas of the East Indian state of Bihar.
