Plan to change former Bridlington restaurant into adult gaming centre
An application to change a former Bridlington restaurant into an adult gaming centre has been submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s planning department.
The plan, covering Buffaloes American Restaurant at 1-2 Regent Terrace and the flat above the former eatery, was submitted by Wilson’s Casino Slots.

A covering letter by agent Robert Doughty Consultancy Limited of behalf of the applicant said: “We are pleased to submit an application to utilise vacant restaurant space as an Adult Gaming Centre (AGC) and to use the flat over as storage at 1-2 Regent Terrace in Bridlington.
“The former bar, restaurant at ground floor and the flat above is in the same ownership as the adjacent Wilson’s Amusements and has floorspace that abuts the existing Arcade on the Esplanade/ Regent Terrace.
“The proposal seeks to use the ground floor floorspace as an arcade, more specifically an AGC, while providing more floorspace for storage in the former flat.
“The restaurant that last occupied the building closed some time ago and was left in a state of disrepair.
“The owner wishes to make good use of the space, which has led to this application.
“The application will make a positive contribution to the expansion of the sub area’s tourist and retail sector, utilising vacant space, and expanding the offer for those who wish to visit AGCs on the coast.
“No external alterations to the building are required apart from signage being replaced, the internal arrangements are generally unchanged and it is only the use of the building that will change.”
