Hundreds of people flocked to the black-tie event – which featured an exclusive message to guests from Prime Minister Theresa May.
In a letter sent to the organisers, she adds: “I must put Scarborough on my list of places to visit soon.”
The main sponsor for this year's event was The University of Hull.
Jon Hammond compered the evening and this year’s entertainment wad provided by the lively Mr Wilson’s Second Liners.
