Scarborough designer Anja Drop shortlisted for two UK small business awards
Notch Media, founded by Anja Drop, is celebrating after being shortlisted for two categories in the UK Small Business Awards 2025.
Anja has been named a finalist for Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and Notch Media has been shortlisted for Best Graphic Design Business, proudly representing Scarborough in both categories.

Anja creates bold and playful branding for small businesses, helping them bring their personality to life. By getting to know each business properly, she builds identities that feel authentic, approachable and visually exciting.
One of Anja’s most recent projects was with Nova Coffee, a much-loved local business preparing to open a new shop. They already had a logo in place and asked Anja to expand their visual identity into something more complete and full of personality. She created a colour palette, chose fonts, created custom illustrations and designed a range of print and in-store designs including A-boards, posters and menus.
The UK Small Business Awards celebrate and elevate small businesses across the country, highlighting talent, creativity and determination. Their mission is to open doors for entrepreneurs and give them opportunities for recognition, networking and growth, regardless of background or financial situation.
By showcasing finalists throughout the entire process, the Awards help small businesses build visibility and credibility whether or not they take home the top award.
