Scarborough's Dale Power Solutions secures £7.8million package to fund growth plans

Dale Power Solutions has secured a £7.8m finance package which is set to provide a major boost to the firm’s growth plans.

The Scarborough business is a national provider of emergency power solutions and it trades from a freehold 67,000 sq ft factory in Eastfield.

As well as manufacturing UPS in its main factory, it also manufactures and refurbishes diesel generators in a new purpose-built factory as well as carrying out repair and maintenance services. The company also provides distributed ‘green’ energy storage solutions supporting the net zero carbon initiative.

Shawbrook, a specialist bank has provided a £7.8m package, which will be used to finance the business' forecasted growth.

Dale Power Solutions has fared well through the Covid-19 pandemic and has seen an uptick in demand and sales compared to 2020.

Andrew Marr, Finance Director at Dale Power Solutions, said: “The facilities provided by Shawbrook are enabling us to refinance our existing senior term debt in addition to providing the financial strength to fund our growth ambitions.

Established in 1935, Dale Power's products are used in markets sectors that require a constant source of power, consequently when the mains source is unavailable, back-up power is essential.

The provision of uninterrupted power is crucial for its clients and is specifically required in sectors such as healthcare.

The business’ works with blue-chip clients across key markets including facilities management, defence, emergency services, oil & gas, telecommunications and utilities & renewables sectors.

With the business on a significant growth trajectory post-pandemic, Shawbrook supported Dale Power Solutions refinance by providing £7.8m in funding, including a flexible working capital facility.
