Whitby Specsavers celebrates being 'Best Place to Work' out of more than 900 stores in industry awards
Staff at Specsavers Whitby are celebrating big after winning 'Best Place to Work' award at a national industry ceremony.
Specsavers Whitby on New Quay Road, which is locally owned and run, took home the top position for ‘Best Place to Work’ out of three other finalists and more than 900 stores at Specsavers’ Awards for Excellence.
The annual awards aim to recognise achievements and professionalism across all UK and Ireland Specsavers stores.
The team celebrated the win at an awards ceremony in Birmingham, surrounded by other inspiring teams and businesses within the Specsavers group.
The store has been serving the community in the Whitby area for 20 years and staff are delighted to have been recognised for their achievements.
Sophie Harland, director at Specsavers Whitby, said: “The award means so much to us all - to be recognised for the wonderful, positive environment we’ve all helped to create – it was the best feeling in the world when our store was announced as the winner.
